| It
was a few years later when they came back in Strings and Things and they
had hit the big time. In walked Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley with a limo
driver and a bodyguard the size of Godzilla. One of the shop guys suggested
that I get some pictures of them because they didn't have their make up
on and supposedly there had never been any photos of them published without
make up on. "Great!" I said, and I grabbed my camera and headed
to the show floor. I stood across the drop and raised my camera for the
big shoot when all of a sudden Godzilla starts heading straight for me
screaming "put that camera up before I stick it up your !&?ft$%!!
(along with a few other choice words).
I proceeded to tell him to "get out of the store before I call the police" and then I had a few choice words for him. About that time, Paul Stanley jumped in and asked everybody to calm down and asked me if I would please put the camera up. He was so nice about it that I immediately put the camera up and we've been friends ever since. They hung with us all afternoon just messin' around with guitars and telling us what all they and the rest of the band had been up to. Their tour was kickin' and the crowds were huge! |
